Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Yackey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lennox Rhodes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yackey comes into the arena with Ante Up blaring out of the sound system. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yackey circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rhodes delivers a nice body kick.
Rhodes connects with a solid leg kick.
Rhodes tries to clinch there but Yackey circles away.
Rhodes keeps the fight on the outside.
Yackey tries to clinch up but Rhodes circles away and keeps his distance.
Rhodes avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Yackey rushes Rhodes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Rhodes misses with the head strike.
Yackey goes for a takedown attempt but Rhodes pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Yackey tries to clinch but Rhodes is having none of it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Yackey looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Yackey shoots in looking for a takedown. Rhodes tries to sprawl out of it but Yackey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rhodes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Rhodes connects with a body shot.
Rhodes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Yackey.
Rhodes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Yackey stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Rhodes fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Yackey tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Rhodes counters with a lovely shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Yackey doesn't manage to clinch there - Rhodes circles away.

Yackey rushes Rhodes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Yackey is trying to break free.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Rhodes.
Yackey wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rhodes scores with a nice hook to the head.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Lennox Rhodes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Yackey tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rhodes swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rhodes misses with a low kick.
Yackey wants to clinch up but Rhodes keeps it at a distance.
Yackey shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Rhodes has Yackey pressed against the cage, preventing Yackey from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Yackey is trying to keep Rhodes in close.

Yackey looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rhodes has picked Yackey up and slammed him! Yackey can't keep hold of the triangle and Rhodes manages to pass to side control!
Yackey tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Rhodes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yackey keeps working.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Yackey is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rhodes off and has taken his back!

That was a close round but I would say that Jimmy Yackey will probably get the nod.

Yackey shoots in and drives through. Rhodes sprawls well.
Yackey fails with an attempt to clinch.
Yackey is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Rhodes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Yackey on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

and Rhodes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Rhodes moves into range and clinches up with Yackey.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Yackey breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Yackey tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rhodes paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Rhodes throws a body punch but Yackey moves out of range.
Rhodes punishes Yackey's body with a nice straight punch.
Rhodes misses with a leg kick

and Yackey holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Yackey blocks a body shot from Rhodes.

Yackey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rhodes cracks the inside of Yackey's front leg.

Yackey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rhodes's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Yackey wants to control from the top but Rhodes keeps moving.
Rhodes wants to stand up but Yackey is controlling him.

Yackey jumps guard and drags Rhodes to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Yackey is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Rhodes has his hands clasped together but Yackey extends an breaks Rhodes's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Yackey.
