Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Romario de Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mac Krauss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). de Lima comes to the cage accompanied by Sepultura - Escape To the Void. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Romario de Lima! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mac Krauss! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! de Lima shoots in looking for a takedown. Krauss tries to sprawl out of it but de Lima keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Krauss manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. de Lima shoots in for a double leg but Krauss sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. de Lima shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Romario de Lima. That's going to take a lot out of him. A left and a right from de Lima both land. Nice combination. de Lima closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - de Lima lands in his opponent's guard. de Lima slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. de Lima postures up.
Krauss tries to land a sweep but no joy. Krauss is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Krauss throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Krauss had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. de Lima is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Krauss Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take de Lima's back instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krauss has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Krauss looking for the RNC. Krauss has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Krauss looks gassed! Krauss is trying to stick to de Lima's back but de Lima is turning into Krauss. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Krauss's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by de Lima.
That's two minutes gone in the round. de Lima is in close to Krauss's body, working some short punches and elbows. de Lima is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Krauss is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Krauss has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but de Lima can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Krauss controls de Lima momentarily but de Lima frees himself. Krauss keeping full guard, as de Lima tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Krauss looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! de Lima has picked Krauss up and slammed him! Krauss can't keep hold of the triangle and de Lima manages to pass to side control! de Lima goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Krauss rolls with the submission and now he's on top in de Lima's guard! Nice work there by Krauss! de Lima wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. de Lima looking to hit a scissor sweep but Krauss is one step ahead there. Krauss decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Krauss has his takedown stuffed and de Lima counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Krauss manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Krauss keeping moving, preventing de Lima from controlling successfully. Krauss manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
de Lima wants to control but Krauss is having none of it. de Lima swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mac Krauss dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
de Lima shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Krauss counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. de Lima taking some punishment here, with Krauss in his half guard. Krauss frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. de Lima tries to reverse the position but Krauss maintains control. de Lima might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. de Lima tries to hold on but Krauss postures up. de Lima is desperately trying to improve his position but Krauss has a good base and remains in mount. Krauss is looking to stand but Krauss has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Krauss working for a guillotine from mount but de Lima is in no mood to give up. de Lima working to try and regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. de Lima tries to control Krauss's body but Krauss pushes him off. de Lima squirms to his side and now Krauss has his back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. de Lima trying to control the action but Krauss just sinks the hooks in. Krauss really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for de Lima. de Lima tries to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Krauss is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged de Lima with him. de Lima is trying to defend but Krauss has an arm under the chin now! de Lima grimaces and is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Mac Krauss!
