Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joey Bolten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Alvarez Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Banner has chosen You Can't Bring Me Down by Suicidal Tendencies as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
16 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Joey Bolten!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

21 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Bruce Alvarez Banner!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolten forces Banner back against the cage and clinches.
Banner gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Bolten looking for submissions off his back.
Bolten wants to get back to full guard.
Bolten is trying to maintain the position but Banner is very close to passing his half guard.
Banner passes to side control.
Banner lands some shots froms side control.
Bolten taking a bit of punishment here - Banner scoring with strikes.
Banner is working Bolten over with some ground and pound from side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Banner cracks Bolten with a big right hand but Bolten just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Bolten tries to bench press Banner off him but Banner keeps the position.
Banner throws an elbow but Bolten slips to the side and avoids it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Banner working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Banner has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bolten drives through and clinches with Banner against the cage.
Knees in the clinch landing for Bolten.
Banner on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Banner pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bolten throws a low kick but Banner moves out of range easily.
Banner looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bolten is fending him off so far but Banner persists. Nope, Bolten circles away and we're back to standing.
Banner shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bolten manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Bolten working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Banner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Banner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bolten is working hard here to advance position.
Bolten working for a triangle but Banner defends it easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bolten has his foot on Banner's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Banner works his way back into a safe position though.

Bolten looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Banner is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Bolten is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Banner is aware though and is defending well.

Banner sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bolten's guard.

Bolten is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Banner is aware though and is defending well.

Bolten takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bolten is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Banner's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Banner looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Bolten is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Banner pulls his head out easily.

Bolten has hold of Banner's hands but Banner slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Bolten is rocked!
Banner winds up and cracks Bolten with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Oh Bolten is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bolten wants to get back to full guard.
Banner takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Banner passes to side control.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Banner lands a strong strike to the head of Bolten. That's dazed him! Banner looking to finish here. Bolten is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Banner lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bruce Alvarez Banner!
Bruce Alvarez Banner very nearly forgot to thank Hell's Balls Recovery (160) amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
