Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rusty Griswold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griswold comes into the arena with Hooking Up The Lights blaring out of the sound system. Douglas is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rocky's Theme. This should be fireworks!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griswold scores with a takedown into Douglas's guard.
Griswold is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Douglas wants to stand but Griswold is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Griswold working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Douglas's head.
Griswold wants to pass the guard but Douglas is keeping the position.
Douglas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Griswold. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Griswold misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Griswold lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Douglas down.
Griswold looks up at the clock and then as Douglas takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Griswold smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Douglas is not content to let Griswold control the position.
Griswold is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Douglas knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Griswold is looking to take a break and control but Douglas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Douglas throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Rusty Griswold dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Douglas is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Douglas misses with a series of wild punches.
Griswold closes the distance and clinches up with Douglas, looking for a takedown. Griswold pushes Douglas against the cage but Douglas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Griswold tries to score a power double leg takedown but Douglas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Griswold somewhat.

Griswold wants to finish this one by submission but Douglas is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Griswold.

Griswold breaks from Douglas's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Griswold lands a big shot there that rocks Douglas but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Douglas takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Griswold's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
