Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Bobandy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva's entrance music is Til' I Collapse. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Randy Bobandy!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bobandy stuffs the takedown attempt from Silva. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Bobandy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bobandy manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Bobandy's guard.

Bobandy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Silva is controlling him.
Bobandy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bobandy wants to stand and escape but Silva is having none of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ricardo Silva just wasn't active enough.
Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bobandy's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Ricardo Silva will probably get the nod.

Bobandy drops down looking for an ankle pick but Silva pulls his leg out and moves away.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ricardo Silva dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Bobandy leaves Silva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Silva has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bobandy regains guard immediately.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Silva controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Silva has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ricardo Silva spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
