The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asashoryu scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Green doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Asashoryu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Peter Green has been cut.
Asashoryu drops Green with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Green looks back up at him and smiles so Asashoryu waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Green walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Asashoryu swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
