Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Leroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Ragi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fred Ragi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brandon Leroy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Fred Ragi! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leroy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ragi as he jumps to the side. Leroy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Leroy has taken the fight to the clinch.
Leroy pulls guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Ragi working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leroy is looking for a triangle but Ragi pushes his legs off easily.
Leroy manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Leroy is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Ragi has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Leroy controlling the position easily from mount. Leroy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Leroy looking to ground and pound but Ragi is blocking nicely. Leroy is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Ragi to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Ragi shrugs it off. Leroy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leroy has control of Ragi's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ragi regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Leroy sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Ragi tries to reverse the position but Leroy maintains control. Leroy content just to control the position here. Leroy has control of Ragi's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ragi regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leroy sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Ragi is looking to get to half guard. Leroy controlling the pace for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Leroy jabs Ragi to the body, keeping him at a distance. Ragi tries to close the distance and clinch but Leroy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ragi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Leroy shoots and misses and Ragi counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Ragi's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Leroy is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Leroy wants to break free but Ragi has control.

Leroy pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ragi tries to pull guard but Leroy forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Leroy pulls guard effortlessly. Ragi trying to control the position from guard on top but Leroy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Leroy is pulling down on Ragi's head. It's preventing any offense from Ragi, at least for the moment. Ragi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Leroy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ragi has managed to get both his arms back between Leroy's legs - danger averted. Ragi preventing the sweep. Leroy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Leroy holds on and takes a little breather. Ragi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Leroy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Leroy looking for a sweep. Not yet Leroy, not yet. Leroy keeping moving, preventing Ragi from controlling successfully.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Leroy tries to clinch there but Ragi circles away.

Ragi wants to clinch up but Leroy keeps it at a distance. Leroy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ragi's half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Leroy is looking to take a break and control but Ragi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. This has been an exciting period of action! Ragi wants to control but Leroy is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leroy tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ragi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Leroy seems to be looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ragi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Leroy controls the pace. Leroy thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ragi looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Leroy tries to clinch but Ragi is having none of it. Ragi wants to clinch up but Leroy keeps it at a distance. Brandon Leroy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ragi shoots for a takedown but Leroy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Ragi blocks a head kick by Leroy.
Ragi shoots in for a takedown but Leroy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ragi fails with a takedown attempt. Brandon Leroy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fred Ragi. Leroy throws a head kick that misses. Leroy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Leroy closes the distance and clinches up with Ragi, looking for a takedown. Leroy pushes Ragi against the cage but Ragi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Leroy shoots in looking for a takedown. Ragi tries to sprawl out of it but Leroy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ragi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ragi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leroy shoots in for a takedown but Ragi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Leroy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ragi swats him away and circles back towards the center. Leroy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ragi is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Leroy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ragi swings for the body but Leroy moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leroy moves into range and clinches up with Ragi. Ragi stops a takedown attempt from Leroy.
Ragi has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Leroy after a bit of a struggle. Ragi has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Leroy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ragi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Leroy. Ragi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ragi wants it to stay on the feet. Ragi shoots in looking for a takedown but Leroy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ragi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ragi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Ragi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Leroy is fending him off so far but Ragi persists. Nope, Leroy circles away and we're back to standing. Leroy shoots in for a double leg but Ragi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Ragi or perhaps it was just good defense by Leroy which made him look bad. Leroy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Leroy misses with a body kick. Ragi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Leroy as he avoids it easily. Ragi gets tackled into the cage by Leroy. Leroy maintains the clinch. Ragi wants the takedown. Leroy is fighting it off but Ragi persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Leroy's guard against the cage. Leroy is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Brandon Leroy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Leroy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ragi's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leroy working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Leroy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Leroy is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Ragi preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Leroy content to stall in guard here. Ragi can't keep his opponent in guard - Leroy advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Brandon Leroy showed his dominance in that final round. Well Leroy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
