Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Stronghold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damjan Pavlovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Stronghold has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Stronghold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Damjan Pavlovic!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stronghold tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pavlovic sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stronghold somewhat.
Pavlovic wants to clinch but Stronghold slips to the side

and Stronghold counters with a shoot takedown. Pavlovic fights it but they end up in guard.
Stronghold trying to control the position from guard on top but Pavlovic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pavlovic looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stronghold is one step ahead there.
Stronghold wants to control from the top but Pavlovic keeps moving.

Pavlovic has his foot on Stronghold's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stronghold works his way back into a safe position though.

Pavlovic looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Pavlovic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stronghold. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Stronghold postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Stronghold trying to control but Pavlovic is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stronghold throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pavlovic works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Stronghold sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Stronghold with a flurry of punches that miss.
Stronghold is in close to Pavlovic's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Stronghold decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pavlovic.
Stronghold shoots in looking for a takedown but Pavlovic manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stronghold's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A head kick misses from Pavlovic.
Pavlovic circles away from the clinch attempt.

Stronghold scores with a takedown into Pavlovic's guard.
Stronghold has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Stronghold stands and steps away. Pavlovic gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Pavlovic throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stronghold's waist but Stronghold gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pavlovic off to one side.
Pavlovic looks winded!
Pavlovic shoots in but Stronghold avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mike Stronghold has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damjan Pavlovic.

Stronghold shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Stronghold passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Pavlovic!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stronghold is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Pavlovic is in real trouble.

Stronghold is cranking Pavlovic's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Pavlovic! He's tightened the choke and Pavlovic is tapping out!
