Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Trent Punchy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Punchy comes to the cage accompanied by Trent From Punchy. Trent Punchy has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Trent Punchy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Luke Davies!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Punchy tries to sprawl but Davies drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Punchy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Davies is working away from the top position though.
Punchy gets back to full guard.
Davies wants to control from the top but Punchy keeps moving.

Davies really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Punchy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Davies got a little sloppy there for a moment and Punchy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Davies has managed to get both his arms back between Punchy's legs - danger averted.

Punchy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Davies gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Punchy wants to sweep here but Davies controlling him for the moment.
Davies is looking to advance position but Punchy has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davies can do anything to dispel that myth.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Punchy has hold of Davies's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Davies manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Davies postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Punchy wants to sweep here but Davies controlling him for the moment.
Davies is looking to work some ground and pound but Punchy has wrist control.

Punchy is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Punchy extends the arm and Davies is forced to tap!
