Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Caiaphas Caine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirk Laputa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kirk Laputa was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Caiaphas Caine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kirk Laputa!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caine lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Laputa motions for Caine to come forward. Laputa throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Caine drives through with a takedown into Laputa's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Caine pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Laputa is keeping the position for now.
Laputa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Caine is aware though and is defending well.
Caine trying to control the position from guard on top but Laputa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Caine passes the guard and advances to mount!
Laputa is desperately trying to improve his position but Caine has a good base and remains in mount.
Caine with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Laputa is working to get back to half guard.
Caine pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Caine avoids the attempt from Laputa to control.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Caine cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
It looks like Kirk Laputa has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Laputa regains half guard.
Caine is trying to control. Laputa wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Caine is just content to waste time from the top position. Laputa takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Laputa wants to sweep here but Caine controlling him for the moment.
Caine wants to control from the top but Laputa keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Caine stands and throws Laputa's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Laputa is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Laputa is trying to control but Caine manages to pass to mount!
Caine is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Laputa has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Laputa!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Kirk Laputa's cut.
That's time! Caine's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A big left from Caine misses.
Caine lands with a kick to the temple. Laputa shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Caine takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Caiaphas Caine has been cut.
Caine walks into a jab.
Laputa throws a leg kick but Caine sees it coming and moves out of range.
Laputa chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Caine blocks a head kick by Laputa.
Laputa fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Caine.
Laputa takes one to the chin there.
Caine looks for the body kick but Laputa saw that one coming.
Laputa throws a sloppy head kick and Caine moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Caine.
Caiaphas Caine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Laputa tries a head kick but it misses.
Laputa avoids the body shot from Caine.
Caine misses with a head kick.
Laputa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Caine stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Laputa.
Caine closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Laputa quickly recovers to half guard.
Caiaphas Caine overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Caine prevents Laputa from improving his position.
Caine has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Laputa defend it? Caine steps over the head and cranks it - Laputa is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Caine!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Caiaphas Caine!
