Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drederick Tatum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Lindros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Drederick Tatum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eric Lindros!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lindros connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Lindros takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Lindros connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Lindros lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Tatum backs up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Lindros gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Lindros makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Lindros working hard to break the clinch.
Tatum can't break the clinch.
Lindros fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Lindros working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

Tatum turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Tatum manages to end up in side control.
Lindros is looking to reverse the position.
Tatum wants to stand but Lindros is controlling his arm.
Tatum wants to take a breather but Lindros manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Tatum.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Drederick Tatum has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lindros. Tatum does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tatum throws a low kick but Lindros avoids it.

Lindros is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tatum.

Lindros stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tatum.
Tatum lunges at Lindros with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lindros's hand.
Lindros lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tatum blocks a head kick by Lindros.
Lindros pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lindros throws a right and a left that Tatum avoids nicely.
Lindros throws a jab when Tatum was well out of range.
Lindros checks the leg kick nicely there.
Eric Lindros seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lindros moves in looking to clinch but Tatum pushes him off.
Tatum throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Lindros counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tatum thinking.
Lindros shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Tatum eats them both and turns towards Lindros to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lindros throws a head kick that Tatum semi-blocks.
Tatum avoids a kick to the body.

Lindros slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Lindros misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Tatum is looking to wear down Lindros with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Tatum throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Lindros throws a wild body kick that Tatum sees coming a mile off.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lindros throws a half hearted mid kick.
A decent looking cross lands there for Lindros.
Tatum throws a head kick but Lindros moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Drederick Tatum will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Tatum throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Lindros throws a nice looking combination but Tatum bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Lindros bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Lindros on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

I would just about give that final round to Eric Lindros.
