The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Height shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pepperwood sprawls well. Pepperwood wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Height gets slowly back to his feet.

and Pepperwood counters with a shoot takedown. Height fights it but they end up in guard.

Pepperwood got a little sloppy there for a moment and Height has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pepperwood has managed to get both his arms back between Height's legs - danger averted.

Height has his foot on Pepperwood's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pepperwood works his way back into a safe position though.

Height is trying to stand back up but Pepperwood is controlling him
Pepperwood is looking for a kimura but Height is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pepperwood to get the leverage.
Pepperwood is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Height defends it well.
Height tries to get to full guard but Pepperwood has control of the leg.

The fighters are battling for position here. Height manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Pepperwood wants to control from the top but Height keeps moving.
