Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Will Boulks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Mackdensing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mackdensing has chosen Spaceman as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Will Boulks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Josh Mackdensing!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boulks shoots in looking for a takedown. Mackdensing tries to sprawl out of it but Boulks keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mackdensing manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice takedown defense from Mackdensing. No joy for Boulks on that attempt.
Mackdensing throws a shot from downtown. Boulks moves away and avoids it.
Mackdensing leaves Boulks with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Boulks. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Mackdensing counters with a lovely straight right hand!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Boulks.
Mackdensing keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mackdensing enables Boulks to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mackdensing manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Will Boulks.
Boulks shoots in looking for a takedown but Mackdensing manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Boulks's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Boulks counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mackdensing won't be happy with that.

Boulks is trying to get an arm triangle but Mackdensing is defending well.

Boulks is pressing down on Mackdensing's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mackdensing is holding on for now.

Boulks is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Boulks looks to land a strike but Mackdensing avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Boulks throws a big elbow that misses.
Boulks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Boulks drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mackdensing dives on top into guard.

Boulks has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mackdensing can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Mackdensing is looking to stand up but Boulks won't let him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Boulks here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Boulks looking to sit in guard and control but Mackdensing gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Boulks working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mackdensing doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mackdensing manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mackdensing really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boulks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Boulks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mackdensing tries to avoid it but Boulks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mackdensing to the ground. Mackdensing escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Boulks is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mackdensing is just riding it out for now. Boulks eventually gives up the hold.

Boulks wants to take a breather but Mackdensing is having none of it.

We're going to have a standup here because Will Boulks wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Boulks looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mackdensing is fending him off so far but Boulks persists. Nope, Mackdensing circles away and we're back to standing.
Mackdensing stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mackdensing wants it to stay on the feet.
Boulks shoots in and drives through. Mackdensing sprawls well.
Boulks dives in and grabs Mackdensing's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mackdensing pushes down on Boulks's head and hops out.

Mackdensing cracks Boulks with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Boulks looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Mackdensing finish him?

Josh Mackdensing seems to be getting the better of the standup.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Boulks fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Josh Mackdensing comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Boulks has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
