The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patrushev has a takedown stuffed.

Patrushev takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Patrushev shoots in but Vredenburg avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Vredenburg throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Patrushev tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vredenburg sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Patrushev somewhat.

Patrushev shoots in for a takedown but Vredenburg shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Patrushev shoots in looking for a takedown but Vredenburg manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Patrushev's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
