Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hubert Godfrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonas Sakalas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Godfrey's entrance music is Enemy Crush by Skrip Breaks. A fine choice. Sakalas has chosen Deliver Me as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hubert Godfrey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonas Sakalas!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Godfrey.
Godfrey fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sakalas on the side of the head.
Jonas Sakalas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sakalas wants to clinch
and Godfrey counters with a crisp one two that drops Sakalas! Godfrey thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Sakalas to his feet! Sakalas is in big trouble!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A big left from Sakalas misses.
Godfrey sends Sakalas crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Godfrey is motioning to the referee to let Sakalas up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Sakalas is rocked!
Sakalas throws a head kick that misses
and Godfrey scores with a counter punch that sends Sakalas to the canvas! Godfrey smells blood - he's punishing Sakalas with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Sakalas has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hubert Godfrey!
