Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ballard Magnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey Haim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haim has chosen Keep Me In Your Heart as his entrance music. Ballard Magnar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 24 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corey Haim!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haim rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Magnar moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Haim looks to land a combination but Magnar avoids it well.
Magnar digs a good body shot into Haim's ribs.
Haim avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Haim takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Magnar throws a hook but Haim avoids it easily.
Haim shoots for a takedown but Magnar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Magnar thows a left - swing and a miss!
Magnar throws a hook to the side of Haim's head but Haim sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Haim is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Magnar.
Haim throws a right and a left that Magnar avoids nicely.
A combination from Haim does no damage.

Magnar throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Magnar defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Haim.

Haim misses the shot to the body.
Magnar ducks under a wild hook from Haim.
Haim displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Magnar throws out the jab.
Haim misses with the combination.
Haim fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ballard Magnar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Corey Haim.
The fighters circling - Magnar throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Haim takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

It looks like Corey Haim has been cut.
Magnar clobbers Haim with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Haim is rocked!
Ballard Magnar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Haim needs to keep his hands up - Magnar had a free shot at his head there.
Haim is still on wobbly legs! Can Magnar finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Haim uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Magnar.
Haim throws a left and a right that both miss
and Magnar makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Haim seems to have recovered his senses.
Magnar looks to throw the jab but Haim is out of range.
Magnar misses with a lunging right hand
and Haim counters with a nice uppercut.
Haim stalks Magnar and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Magnar's face. Magnar staggers backwards, shaken.
Magnar lands a right hook to the body.

Haim fails to land with a series of punches.
Haim shoots in looking for a takedown. Magnar tries to sprawl out of it but Haim keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Magnar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Haim fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Haim misses the shot to the body.
Magnar throws a shot from downtown. Haim moves away and avoids it.
Magnar on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Haim misses with a wild body shot.
Haim uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Magnar.

Haim changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Magnar looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Haim is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Magnar knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Haim wants to control but Magnar is keeping him busy.
You can see the frustration on Magnar's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Magnar is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Magnar is trying to control but Haim manages to pass to mount!

That was a close round but I would say that Ballard Magnar will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Haim.

Haim has control of Magnar's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Magnar regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Magnar on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Magnar tries to get out of the position.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Haim cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Magnar is trying to escape the mount.

Haim working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Magnar tries to hold on but Haim pushes him away.

Magnar defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Haim.
Haim prevents Magnar from getting the reversal.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Haim wants to control the pace but Magnar is squirming around nicely.

Haim is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Haim clinches.
Magnar lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Haim backwards.
Magnar lands with a left to the head.
Magnar tries to work over Haim's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Magnar can't find room to land a body shot as Haim controls the action.

Magnar lands a right hand.
Haim can't break the clinch.
Magnar scores with a shoulder strike.
The referee is keeping an eye on Magnar - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Haim's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Magnar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Magnar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Haim shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Magnar as he avoids it easily.
Magnar is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Magnar throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Magnar throws a hook but Haim avoids it easily.
Haim goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Magnar lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Magnar thows a body shot but no joy.

Haim takes a swing at Magnar's ribcage but misses.

Corey Haim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Haim. Magnar does a little dance to reset his feet.

Haim is looking to clinch but Magnar is avoiding it.
Magnar throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

enabling Haim to counter with a crisp jab.

Magnar is pawing at Haim, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Haim's nose. Haim is badly hurt! Magnar pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Haim tries desperately to hold on but Magnar is relentless in his assault! As Haim receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Magnar away and this one is in the books!
