The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lazzarini lands a leg kick that knocks Monk off balance momentarily.
Monk on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Lazzarini. Lazzarini obviously looking to wear him down.
Lazzarini doesn't manage to clinch there - Monk circles away.
Lazzarini waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Monk.
Lazzarini sizes up Monk with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

It looks like Marcus Monk has been cut.
Lazzarini swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lazzarini ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Lazzarini connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lazzarini dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A slow jab from Lazzarini misses its intended target.
Lazzarini with a nice cross.
Lazzarini throws a leg kick which misses Monk's front leg but catches the back leg as Monk tries to avoid it.

Monk drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
and Lazzarini counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Monk! He's just covering up as Lazzarini starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
