Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Bolda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Materla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bolda kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Fett's Vette. Josh Bolda is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolda tries to clinch but Materla moves out of range.
Bolda lands a two punch combo.
Materla swats away the attempt to clinch by Bolda.
Bolda shoots in looking for a takedown but Materla manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bolda's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Bolda shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Materla but Materla pushes him off and we're back to square one.
No joy there for Bolda, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Materla gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Materla pulls Bolda in close to prevent any damage.
Materla is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Bolda seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Materla has momentary wrist control but Bolda slips an elbow through the middle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bolda keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Materla's head.
Bolda is fighting to break Materla's control of his arms but Materla is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Bolda wants to pass the guard but Materla is keeping the position.

Materla wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Bolda has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Michal Materla.

Bolda tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Materla swivels and escapes.

Bolda walks forward, straight into a front kick from Materla.
Materla throws a head kick but Bolda moves out of range.
Materla cracks a nice hook into Bolda's ribs.
Bolda is breathing heavily.
Materla moves out of range as Bolda strikes.
Materla tries to land a front kick but Bolda steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
A nice leg kick lands there from Materla.
Materla lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Materla fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Materla throws a half hearted mid kick.
Materla thows a left - swing and a miss!
Materla misses with an uppercut. Bolda saw that one coming.

Materla cracks Bolda with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Bolda uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Materla.
Materla lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bolda at a distance.
Materla stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

and Bolda counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bolda takes one on the button.

Bolda bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Materla's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Sloppy strikes there by Bolda.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Bolda wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Materla, who protects the arm well.
Bolda cracks Materla with an elbow. That is naaassty.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Materla throws a shot from downtown. Bolda moves away and avoids it.
A decent looking cross lands there for Materla.

Materla throws the left hand but Bolda avoids the punch easily.

Materla closes the distance and lands a one-two.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bolda moves out of range of the strikes.
Materla feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Boldas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Nice straight punches there by Materla. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Materla.
