20 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gomer Pyle! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A clash of legs there as Pyle blocks the low kick. Bennett misses with a lunging right hand
and Pyle counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Bennett lands with a straight right. Pyle didn't see that one coming. Pyle lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pyle shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pyle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bennett working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pyle. Bennett wants to get back to his feet but Pyle is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Pyle throwing strikes but missing. Pyle working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Pyle is working Bennett over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Pyle missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bennett managing to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pyle works over Bennett with some ground and pound from guard. Pyle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bennett keeping full guard, as Pyle tries to pass. Pyle lands a couple of digs. Pyle working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Bennett is pulling down on Pyle's head to control his posture. Pyle is looking to work some ground and pound but Bennett has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pyle trying to control but Bennett is working from the bottom. Pyle throws an elbow that misses. Bennett uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pyle's guard. Nice move by Bennett! Pyle looking for a guillotine here but Bennett defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pyle is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pyle looking for a guillotine here but Bennett defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Pyle is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Bennett trying to stand up but can't free himself from Pyle's guard. Pyle tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Gomer Pyle was stalling too much, according to the referee. Bennett looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Richard Bennett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bennett connects with a solid leg kick. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pyle swings for the body but Bennett moves out of range.

and Bennett makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Pyle waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bennett. Bennett connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Bennett throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pyle has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bennett. Pyle misses with a head kick.
Bennett ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Pyle misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bennett throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bennett moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Gomer Pyle seems to be getting the better of the standup. Pyle throws a big shot that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bennett uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pyle.
Bennett lands with a cross. Nice shot lands for Bennett. Pyle misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pyle shoots for a double leg takedown but Bennett sprawls well. He's pushed Pyle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Pyle throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Richard Bennett is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bennett throws a leg kick but Pyle checks it. Nice body punch from Pyle. Bennett misses with a head kick.

Richard Bennett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gomer Pyle. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bennett takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Pyle moves out of range as Bennett throws a body kick.
Nice body kick there by Bennett. A good leg kick by Bennett. A left and a right from Pyle both land. Nice combination. Pyle tests Bennett's chin there with a solid looking shot. Pyle throws a jab when Bennett was well out of range. Pyle throws an off balance right hand
and Pyle takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Pyle lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Pyle throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bennett moves away from the strike by Pyle. Bennett shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Bennett displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pyle throws out the jab. Pyle throws a series of punches but Bennett moves out of range. Bennett throws a jab but it's blocked by Pyle. A lazy body kick from Pyle and Bennett counters with a body kick that stops Pyle in his tracks momentarily. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bennett. Pyle shoots and misses and Bennett counters with a slapping leg kick. Pyle is breathing heavily. Pyle lands a glancing blow to the side of Bennett's head. Bennett ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Pyle throws a series of punches but Bennett avoids them all with ease. Bennett misses with a body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pyle thows a body shot but no joy. A swing and a miss from Pyle. Bennett explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bennett uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pyle. Bennett delivers a nice body kick. Bennett swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pyle takes a body punch but keeps moving. Bennett is looking to clinch. Pyle thows a left - swing and a miss! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bennett swings for the body but Pyle moves out of range.
Bennett cracks Pyle with a right hand to the side of the head. Bennett scores with a jab to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Richard Bennett dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Pyle walks forward, straight into a front kick from Bennett. Pyle on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Pyle throws an overhand right that lands on Bennett's shoulder, as Bennett tries to avoid the shot. Pyle pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Bennett throws a right and a left that Pyle avoids nicely. Bennett scores with a push kick. Bennett punishes Pyle's body with a nice straight punch. Pyle fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bennett throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Pyle on the side of the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bennett scores with a jab to the body. Pyle takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. A shot to the body from Bennett misses and Pyle counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Pyle throws a sloppy head kick and Bennett moves out of range easily. Bennett throws a nice inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice uppercut lands for Bennett. That snapped Pyle's head back.
Pyle is rocked! Bennett jabs at Pyle's body. Pyle is still on wobbly legs! Can Bennett finish him? Pyle takes a jab right on the kisser.
Bennett lands a big head kick that sends Pyle tumbling to the mat! Bennett takes a step backwards and waves Pyle back to his feet - he wants the finish! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pyle shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bennett as he avoids it easily. Bennett lands a slapping body shot.
Bennett cracks Pyle with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Bennett has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Pyle to stand back up! Pyle avoids the body shot from Bennett.
Bennett is looking to slow Pyle down with leg kicks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pyle slips under a jab from Bennett. Nice uppercut there from Pyle. Pyle throws a right and a left that Bennett avoids nicely. Bennett darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Pyle shoots in but no luck this time. Pyle shoots for a takedown but Bennett saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Richard Bennett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gomer Pyle. Bennett misses with a kick to the body.
Pyle seems to have recovered his senses. Bennett scores with a kick to the midsection. Bennett changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bennett with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Pyle with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bennett to score with a decent uppercut. A chopping leg kick lands by Bennett. Bennett circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Pyle drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Bennett follows Pyle to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
