Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Greg McDonald! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Julisz Michal Kasperski! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kasperski moves in looking to clinch but McDonald pushes him off. Kasperski swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McDonald throws a front kick aimed at Kasperski's knee but Kasperski avoids it well. Kasperski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. McDonald takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
McDonald scores with a push kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kasperski defending well as McDonald loads up on a big left hand. Kasperski doesn't manage to clinch there - McDonald circles away.
Sloppy strikes from Kasperski. Those never looked like landing. Kasperski misses with a double jab.
Kasperski fails to land with a series of punches.
A left lands for McDonald. Kasperski looks winded! McDonald connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. McDonald lands a big shot that drops Kasperski! Can he finish him?
Kasperski is rocked!
It looks like Julisz Michal Kasperski has been cut. McDonald throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kasperski is still in real trouble! Can McDonald finish him? McDonald wants to control from the top but Kasperski keeps moving. McDonald throwing strikes but missing. Kasperski seems to have recovered his senses. McDonald in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. McDonald trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. McDonald wants to pass the guard but Kasperski is keeping the position. McDonald throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kasperski works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McDonald trying to control the position from guard on top but Kasperski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McDonald thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Kasperski keeping moving, preventing McDonald from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McDonald stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kasperski swivels though and keeps the full guard. McDonald is working hard here to advance position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kasperski can do anything to dispel that myth. McDonald decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McDonald lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. McDonald throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kasperski tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Kasperski gets in close and instigates a clinch. Kasperski blocks a body shot from McDonald. Kasperski tries to break the clinch but McDonald is controlling the position. McDonald putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Kasperski in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McDonald misses with a hook to the ribs.
McDonald wants to break free but Kasperski has control.
McDonald keeps control of Kasperski as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Kasperski is looking to break free of the clinch but McDonald has double underhooks. McDonald is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. McDonald is trying to push Kasperski away but Kasperski has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. McDonald tries to land knees in the clinch but Kasperski avoids the damage to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kasperski is trying to break the clinch but McDonald is controlling him. Kasperski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kasperski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Nice body kick from McDonald. A kick lands to the mid section there for McDonald. McDonald delivers a nice body kick. McDonald fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. McDonald with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
McDonald bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. McDonald throws a leg kick which misses Kasperski's front leg but catches the back leg as Kasperski tries to avoid it. McDonald scores with a push kick. Kasperski on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by McDonald. McDonald obviously looking to wear him down.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! McDonald scores with a kick to the body.
Kasperski takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Good leg kick by McDonald there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
McDonald connects with an inside leg kick. Kasperski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Greg McDonald dominated that round. The cut man is working on Julisz Michal Kasperski's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Kasperski takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
McDonald fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kasperski has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Kasperski has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from McDonald. McDonald lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McDonald bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. A chopping leg kick lands by McDonald. McDonald with a nice cross. McDonald throws a quick inside leg kick. Greg McDonald is winning the standup battle so far. Kasperski has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from McDonald. McDonald is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kasperski can do to turn this around? McDonald lands a big shot that drops Kasperski! Can he finish him?
Kasperski can't keep his opponent in guard - McDonald advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. McDonald lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Kasperski! More strikes land and this one is all over! McDonald jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Greg McDonald! Greg McDonald decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
