Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Putnel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alzra Necromancer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Putnel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alzra Necromancer! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Putnel closes the distance and pushes Necromancer back into the cage. Putnel ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Putnel no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Necromancer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Necromancer throws a big right hand that misses. Putnel will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Putnel trying to control the position here. Putnel keeping full guard, as Necromancer tries to pass. Putnel uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Putnel closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Necromancer quickly recovers to half guard. Necromancer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Putnel not doing much here.
Putnel throwing shots but Necromancer is blocking nicely. Putnel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Necromancer on the ground. Putnel tries to stand and escape but Necromancer is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Putnel tries to pass the half guard into mount. Necromancer knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Putnel misses with a head shot. Necromancer uses the momentum to regain guard. Necromancer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Putnel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Putnel throwing strikes but missing. Putnel in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Putnel in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Putnel chips away with some ground and pound. Putnel postures up in Necromancer's guard and throws a big left but Necromancer blocks it. Putnel throws an elbow that misses. Necromancer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Putnel's guard. Nice move by Necromancer! Putnel controlling the position. Necromancer trying to control the position from guard on top but Putnel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Putnel uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Necromancer fails with an attempt to clinch.
Necromancer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Putnel as he jumps to the side. John Putnel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Putnel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. A lull in the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Necromancer manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Necromancer passes to side control. Necromancer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Putnel keeps working. The strikes coming from Necromancer are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Putnel tries to buck Necromancer off but Necromancer is having none of it. Necromancer is trying to get an arm triangle but Putnel is defending well. Necromancer is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Putnel is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Putnel tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Necromancer wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Necromancer is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Putnel looks calm but he's in trouble here. Necromancer gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Putnel is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Necromancer lets go of the hold and Putnel can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Alzra Necromancer!
