Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yoshi Doi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicky Santoro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Santoro tries to bench press Doi off him but Doi keeps the position.
Doi wants to stand but Santoro is controlling his arm.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Santoro connects with a nice short shot to Doi's temple.
