Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Oscar De La Hoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krzysztof Olszewicz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De La Hoya comes to the cage accompanied by Manhattan by Kings of Leon. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Oscar De La Hoya! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Krzysztof Olszewicz! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Olszewicz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but De La Hoya swivels and escapes. De La Hoya lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Olszewicz misses with a takedown attempt - De La Hoya sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Krzysztof Olszewicz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A lazy left from De La Hoya finds it's target. Nice takedown defense from De La Hoya. No joy for Olszewicz on that attempt. Oscar De La Hoya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krzysztof Olszewicz. De La Hoya thuds a left hand into Olszewicz's body. De La Hoya avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
De La Hoya tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Olszewicz was well out of range. Poor timing from De La Hoya. Olszewicz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as De La Hoya sprawls well. De La Hoya wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Olszewicz gets slowly back to his feet. Olszewicz walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. De La Hoya tries to sprawl but Olszewicz drives through with a takedown into half guard. Olszewicz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Olszewicz seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Olszewicz looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
De La Hoya is trying to get back to full guard. De La Hoya on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if De La Hoya tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Olszewicz thows a huge punch but De La Hoya dodges it nicely.
Olszewicz thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Olszewicz prevents De La Hoya from improving his position. Olszewicz wants to stand up but De La Hoya has a hold of him and won't allow it. De La Hoya is controlling Olszewicz's trapped leg to prevent Olszewicz from advancing to side control. De La Hoya is trying to stand back up but Olszewicz is controlling him
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Olszewicz throwing shots but De La Hoya is blocking nicely. De La Hoya is doing well to control the position and prevent Olszewicz from advancing to side control. Olszewicz is looking to take a break and control but De La Hoya is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Olszewicz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with De La Hoya but De La Hoya pushes him off and we're back to square one. De La Hoya lands with a hook. Olszewicz tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Olszewicz is looking to clinch but De La Hoya is avoiding it.
Jab by De La Hoya. De La Hoya lands a glancing blow to the side of Olszewicz's head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Olszewicz tries to clinch and De La Hoya makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Olszewicz looks winded! The fight moves into the clinch position. Olszewicz throws a knee to the head but misses.
De La Hoya manages to pull guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Olszewicz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. De La Hoya tries to land a sweep but no joy. Olszewicz wants to pass the guard but De La Hoya is keeping the position. Olszewicz would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Olszewicz tries to free his leg and advance position but De La Hoya is retaining full guard. De La Hoya wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Olszewicz is looking to work some ground and pound but De La Hoya has wrist control. De La Hoya has Olszewicz pulled in close to control his posture.
Oscar De La Hoya has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Olszewicz's hands are dropping dangerously low here and De La Hoya connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Olszewicz scrambles back to his feet. Olszewicz tries to clinch there but De La Hoya circles away.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts De La Hoya, as that shot connected.
That's four minutes gone in the round. De La Hoya fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Olszewicz looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. De La Hoya feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Olszewiczs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! De La Hoya fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Olszewicz moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! De La Hoya takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. De La Hoya fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Olszewicz is rocked! De La Hoya is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Olszewicz walks straight into a right hand from De La Hoya - that's dropped him! De La Hoya jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Olszewicz from any more punishment! Olszewicz complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Oscar De La Hoya! Our winner, Oscar De La Hoya, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
