Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haile Selassie I (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hendricks comes into the arena with x blaring out of the sound system. Selassie I has chosen Jah Army as his entrance music. Ricardo Hendricks could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Haile Selassie I's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ricardo Hendricks ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Haile Selassie I! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Selassie I cracks Hendricks with a good jab. Hendricks fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Selassie I to the ground. Hendricks is now in Selassie I's guard. Selassie I has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hendricks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hendricks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Selassie I on the ground. Hendricks throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Selassie I works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hendricks trying to control the position from guard on top but Selassie I is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hendricks looking to sit in guard and control but Selassie I gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hendricks bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Selassie I's guard. Hendricks wants to control from the top but Selassie I keeps moving. Selassie I has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Hendricks should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Selassie I has tightened it up now! Hendricks should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Haile Selassie I! Haile Selassie I bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
