Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brayden Stock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Desbatailles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brayden Stock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Desbatailles ! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stock closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Desbatailles did well to prevent Stock getting side control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Desbatailles manages to get to full guard.
Desbatailles looking for a sweep. Not yet Desbatailles , not yet. Desbatailles working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Stock. Desbatailles is looking for a triangle but Stock pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Stock throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Desbatailles looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Stock keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Desbatailles 's head. Desbatailles looking for a sweep. Not yet Desbatailles , not yet. Desbatailles is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Desbatailles with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Desbatailles wants to get back to full guard. Desbatailles taking some punishment here, with Stock in his half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Desbatailles wants to get back to full guard. Desbatailles has a hand on Stock's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Stock takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Stock sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Desbatailles tries to hold on but Stock pushes him away. Stock lands a big elbow. Desbatailles regains half guard. Stock is looking to advance position but Desbatailles won't allow it.

Stock perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Desbatailles is trying to maintain the position but Stock is very close to passing his half guard. Stock looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Desbatailles tries to get to full guard but Stock has control of the leg. Stock is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Stock content to control rather than advance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stock thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Desbatailles 's head. Stock content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Stock throwing shots but Desbatailles is blocking nicely. Stock working Desbatailles over with strikes. Desbatailles is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Stock's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Stock's back! Desbatailles is riding his opponent, not letting Stock buck him off. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stock wants to control his opponent's hands but Desbatailles gets his hands free. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stock tries to escape the position.
Stock turns into Desbatailles and is now in his guard.

Desbatailles checks a leg kick nicely. Desbatailles avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Desbatailles tries to land a leg kick but Stock saw it coming and moves away.

That kick from Desbatailles tenderised Stock's leg. Stock is trying to keep his angry face on. A solid leg kick lands there for Desbatailles .
Desbatailles clinches. Desbatailles tries to circle away but Stock has him pinned against the ropes. Desbatailles misses with the head strike.
Stock prevents a body shot from Desbatailles . Desbatailles lands a right hand that snaps the head of Stock backwards. Desbatailles tries to break free but Stock pushes him back against the ropes. Desbatailles taking a breather. Stock looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Desbatailles throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
That's one minute gone in the round. Desbatailles lands a body punch in the clinch. Desbatailles tries to throw a body punch but Stock avoids it by throwing Desbatailles back against the ropes. Desbatailles tries to work over Stock's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Desbatailles misses with a body punch.
Stock goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Desbatailles gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Stock.
Desbatailles lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Stock. Stock's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Desbatailles tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Desbatailles misses with a punch on the inside.
Stock taking a breather. Stock manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stock drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Stock looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brayden Stock. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stock gets a trip takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stock is trying to control the action in half guard but Desbatailles is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Stock has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Stock throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Desbatailles because Stock loaded up on that one.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stock thowing shots but they're missing. Desbatailles tries to lock up and control but Stock gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Desbatailles manages to regain half guard whilst avoiding the strikes. Desbatailles is looking to improve his position.
Stock drops an elbow to the side of Desbatailles 's head. Desbatailles has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stock is working away from the top position though. Stock is nestled in close to Desbatailles , controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Stock is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Desbatailles defends it well. Stock seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Desbatailles does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stock working over Desbatailles with some ground and pound. Desbatailles looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Brayden Stock overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Desbatailles is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Stock winds up and cracks Desbatailles with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Desbatailles has a hand on Stock's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Stock takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! This has been an exciting period of action! Stock looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Desbatailles tries to hold on but Stock pushes him away. Stock tries to control but Desbatailles wriggling away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stock lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Stock makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Stock loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Desbatailles controls Stock momentarily but Stock frees himself. Stock with a nice head shot there. Desbatailles working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Stock. Stock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Desbatailles swivels though and keeps the full guard. Desbatailles wants to sweep but no luck.

Stock advances to half guard. Stock slips a nice elbow through Desbatailles 's hands, connecting with Desbatailles 's forehead. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stock is trying to control the action in half guard but Desbatailles is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Desbatailles is controlling Stock's trapped leg to prevent Stock from advancing to side control. Still in half guard, Stock seems content to control. Stock trying to pass the guard but Desbatailles defending well. Desbatailles is not content to let Stock control the position. Stock is thwarting Desbatailles 's attempts to control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Stock. Stock walks forward, straight into a front kick from Desbatailles . Stock tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Stock avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Desbatailles throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
John Desbatailles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Desbatailles misses with a body kick. John Desbatailles is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Desbatailles rushes Stock and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Desbatailles is trying to push Stock away but Stock has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Stock tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Desbatailles 's elbow. Stock takes a shot to the head. Desbatailles is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes. Stock is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Desbatailles is defending well.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Desbatailles . A chopping leg kick lands by Desbatailles . Desbatailles misses with a body kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Desbatailles . Stock does a little dance to reset his feet. Stock misses with a hook. Desbatailles ducked under it nicely. Stock scoring well with a low kick there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stock throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Stock checks a leg kick. Desbatailles dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Stock. That did some damage!
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brayden Stock. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Stock, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
