Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Salvatore Assante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abel Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Assante's entrance music is Lose Yourself. A fine choice. Speed has chosen Limp Bizkit / Break Stuff as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assante lands with a nice body kick.
Assante misses the shot to the body.

Assante takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Assante loads up on a big right hand but Speed slips the punch.

Speed moves out of range as Assante throws a body kick.

Speed tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Speed has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Speed throws an elbow that misses. Assante uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Speed's guard. Nice move by Assante!
