Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Esposito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Mutters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mutters has chosen Hand of Doom as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anthony Esposito! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mick Mutters! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mutters lands a jab. No luck for Esposito with that takedown attempt. Mutters gets in close and instigates a clinch. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Mutters. Mutters gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Esposito.
Esposito is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Mutters to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Esposito. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mutters lands a hook to the side of the head. Mutters pushes Esposito back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.

With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Mutters just misses with a elbow thrown towards Esposito's brow. Mutters wants to break the clinch but can't.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mick Mutters! Mick Mutters is the new lightweight champion! Mick Mutters decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
