Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Honey Badger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Metal Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ripper has chosen Sabaton - Metal ripper as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Metal Ripper!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the body from Ripper misses
and Badger counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nice jab there from Badger.
Ripper swinging wildly here.
Badger throws a series of punches but Ripper moves out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Ripper. Those never looked like landing.
A telegraphed right hand from Badger misses the target.
Badger will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Badger scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Badger throws a series of punches but Ripper avoids them all with ease.
Ripper throws a body punch but Badger moves out of range.
Honey Badger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Badger slaps away a takedown attempt from Ripper, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Badger swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Badger lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ripper tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Badger was well out of range. Poor timing from Ripper.
Ripper rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Badger counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Badger throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Ripper misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Badger takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Badger connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Ripper lands a jab-cross combination.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ripper ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Badger takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Badger's jab looks to have found its range, popping Ripper under the eye.

Badger throws a big shot that misses.
Badger throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ripper misses the shot to the body.

Ripper swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Badger counters with a slapping leg kick.
Badger delivers a nice body kick.
Ripper takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Ripper is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Badger rather than just go for the knockout.
Badger pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ripper back to the cage. Badger follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Ripper's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Badger connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ripper scrambles back to his feet.
Badger throws a nice looking combination but Ripper bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Badger throws a leg kick which misses Ripper's front leg but catches the back leg as Ripper tries to avoid it.
Ripper takes a swing at Badger's ribcage but misses.

and Badger counters with a straight right hand.
Badger is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Badger lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ripper at a distance.
Ripper on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Badger. Badger obviously looking to wear him down.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Badger throws a good cross that connects.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Honey Badger dominated that round.
That's time! Badger's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Ripper lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Badger at a distance.
Honey Badger is winning the standup battle so far.
Badger rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ripper moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ripper lands a nice shot to the body.
Badger lands a head shot.
Badger misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ripper throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Badger pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ripper back to the cage. Badger follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Ripper closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Badger to the mat! Badger manages to get full guard.

Badger can't keep his opponent in guard - Ripper advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Ripper seems to be working for a kimura but Badger defends the submission attempt.
Ripper looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Ripper trying to control from Badger's half guard. Badger has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Ripper stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Badger swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ripper is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Badger is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Badger has escaped and now he's on top!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ripper tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Badger is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Honey Badger just wasn't active enough.
Ripper smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Ripper shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ripper ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Badger lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Honey Badger is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Badger lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Ripper takes a jab right on the kisser.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Badger ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Badger dips to his left and cracks Ripper with an uppercut!
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Badger counters with a one-two to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Honey Badger will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ripper, as that shot connected.
Badger lands with a straight right. Ripper didn't see that one coming.
Badger misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ripper.
Badger scores with a jab.
Ripper scores with a jab to the head.
Badger swings for the body but Ripper moves out of range.
Badger throws a quick inside leg kick.
Badger moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Badger, right into the meat.
Badger throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ripper sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Ripper has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Badger lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Ripper slips a straight right by Badger.
Ripper ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Badger fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ripper.
Badger lands a lovely overhand right.
Badger lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Badger avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ripper takes a swing at Badger's ribcage but misses.
Badger throws a head kick that Ripper semi-blocks.


Ripper is rocked!
Badger thuds his shin into the meat of Ripper's side.
Ripper is still on wobbly legs! Can Badger finish him?

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ripper throws a right and a left that Badger avoids nicely.
Ripper takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Badger! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Honey Badger!

Honey Badger seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
