Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Henry Kissinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Marx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kissinger has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Mark Marx told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

32 - 17 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Marx! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kissinger swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A slapping leg kick lands for Marx.
Kissinger takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Henry Kissinger has been cut. Kissinger fails in his attempt to clinch. Marx scores with a leg kick.

and Marx counters with a leg kick. Kissinger is breathing heavily. Marx lands a nice looking body kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Marx lands a body shot.
Henry Kissinger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marx rushes Kissinger and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Marx lands a shot to the body. Kissinger misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Marx feints and as Kissinger raises his hands in defense, Marx changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Marx wants to control from the top but Kissinger keeps moving. Marx landing with the ground and pound. Marx throwing strikes but missing.

Kissinger is trying to maintain the position but Marx is very close to passing his half guard. Marx thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Marx lands strikes from half guard. Marx is working for a kimura but Kissinger is defending it quite comfortably.
Marx is keen to just control but Kissinger is a slippery customer.

He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Marx looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kissinger with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Marx takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Marx is trying to control. Kissinger wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Marx is trying to control the action in half guard but Kissinger is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Marx working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Marx with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Marx lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Marx feints and then cracks Kissinger's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kissinger down. Marx misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kissinger throws a hook but Marx avoids it easily. Kissinger misses with a lunging right hand
and Marx counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Donk. Marx catches Kissinger right on the button with a cross. Kissinger on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Marx shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Marx was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Marx is landing with some decent strikes but Kissinger is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Kissinger taking shots to the head. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Marx landing shots from mount.
Kissinger is rocked! Marx with a couple of short strikes. Oh Kissinger is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's one minute gone in the round. Marx connects with a bit shot that sees Kissinger covering up! More strikes from Marx and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Marx is our winner by TKO!
