Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Says (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Says.
Says blocks a low kick nicely.
No joy there for Says, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hall throws a series of punches but Says moves out of range.
Says throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Says looks to land a right hand but Hall moved out of range.
Hall blocks a head kick by Says.
A head kick from Says lands but Hall takes it in his stride.
Left hook, right uppercut from Hall.
Simon Says seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hall slips a jab and a cross from Says.
Hall dodges the punch combination from Says.
Hall scores with a one two! Says had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

A looping hook to the body misses from Says. Hall does a little dance to reset his feet.
Says doesn't manage to clinch there - Hall circles away.

and Hall counters with a three punch combo that has Says backing up. Says nods at Hall to acknowledge the strikes.
Hall rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Says moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Hall moves into range and clinches up with Says.

A nice right hand lands inside from Hall.
Says prevents Hall from breaking the clinch.
Says looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Says prevents a body shot from Hall.

Hall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hall looks to land a combination but Says avoids it well.
Hall swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hall takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Says tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Says closes the distance and clinches up with Hall, looking for a takedown. Says pushes Hall against the cage but Hall circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Says throws a sloppy head kick and Hall moves out of range easily.

Hall closes the distance and clinches.
Hall throws a punch but it's blocked by Says.
Hall has had enough of the clinch but Says keeps him there for the moment.
Says throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hall blocks it with crossed arms.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hall has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Hall can't break the clinch.

Says pulls guard.
Hall passes easily into side control. Nice work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hall decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Hall slips under a jab.
Says takes a jab right on the kisser.
Hall throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Says.
Hall walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Says misses with a hook
and Hall counters with a one-two to the body.
Says swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hall takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Says throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Says doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hall counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Jesse Hall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simon Says.
Hall fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A combination from Hall does no damage.
Says misses with a two punch combination.
Says misses with a hook
and Hall cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Says moves into the clinch.
Hall tries to break free but Says pushes him back against the cage.
Says lands a nice elbow.

It looks like Jesse Hall has been cut.
Says wants to stall.
A frustrated look appears on Says's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Says prevents a body shot from Hall.
Hall slowing the pace effectively.

Says pulls guard.
Hall working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hall lands a couple of digs.

Says working for a triangle but Hall defends it easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hall postures up in Says's guard and throws a big left but Says blocks it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Hall gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Hall staying out of range there.

Hall clinches.
