Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Trinidad Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lee Kawasaki!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Jackson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jackson.
A solid leg kick lands there for Jackson.
Jackson scores with a sloppy right hand. Kawasaki should have avoided that one.

Kawasaki throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kawasaki is in Jackson's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Jackson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kawasaki controls the pace.
Kawasaki throws an elbow that misses. Jackson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kawasaki's guard. Nice move by Jackson!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kawasaki working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jackson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kawasaki has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackson has managed to get both his arms back between Kawasaki's legs - danger averted.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kawasaki looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Jackson won't allow Kawasaki to sweep him here.
Jackson wants to pass the guard but Kawasaki is keeping the position.

Kawasaki looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Jackson is defending well. Kawasaki quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Jackson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Kawasaki celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Lee Kawasaki!
Lee Kawasaki decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
