Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trayvon Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Mike Todd has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Trayvon Allen!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Todd tries to clinch up but Allen circles away and keeps his distance.
Allen throws a lazy head kick
and Todd counters with a good low kick that Allen was not able to check.
Allen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Allen showed some decent athleticism there.
Allen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Todd is just riding it out for now. Allen eventually gives up the hold.
Todd is pressing down on Allen's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Allen stops Todd from standing up.

Allen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Allen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Todd sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Allen somewhat.

Allen is trying to force a seperation but Todd has the dominant position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Allen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Todd tries to clinch but Allen is having none of it.

Allen is looking to land body kicks.
Allen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Todd lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Allen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Todd tries to close the distance and clinch up but Allen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Todd stuffs the takedown attempt from Allen. Allen gets slowly back to his feet.
Allen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Allen is breathing heavily.
The fighters are battling for position here. Todd manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Allen won't allow Todd to get back to his feet.
Allen tries to stand but Todd is controlling from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Todd escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Allen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Allen has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Todd is proving hard to escape from.
Todd is trying to control the position but Allen postures up.

Todd lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Allen!

Todd is looking for the choke from the back position but Allen is controlling his hands well.
Todd wants to control but Allen is keeping busy.
Allen defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Todd's arms.
Mike Todd overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Allen is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Todd gets his way!

Todd has the hooks in. Allen is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Todd, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
