Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marco Polo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grant Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marco Polo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Grant Barnett!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnett buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Barnett gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Polo.
Polo misses with a double jab.
Barnett misses with a jab, cross combination.
Barnett throws a body punch but Polo moves out of range.
Barnett throws a leg kick that is checked
and Polo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Polo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Barnett's hands.

Barnett cracks Polo with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Barnett tries to work over Polo's front leg with a kick but Polo checks it.
Barnett is looking to chop away at Polo's legs.
Polo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Barnett avoids it really well and circles away.
Barnett slips a jab and a cross from Polo.

Polo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Barnett tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Polo is in Barnett's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Grant Barnett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Polo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Barnett quickly recovers to half guard.

Polo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Barnett is staying active underneath Polo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Barnett can do anything to dispel that myth.

Barnett throws a hook to the side of Polo's head but Polo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Barnett really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Polo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Barnett is desperately trying to improve his position but Polo has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A big strike lands for Polo! That's really hurt Barnett and he's turned his back - Polo keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Polo jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marco Polo!
Our winner, Marco Polo, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
