Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shadow Deathgrip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Pot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pot comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Showering of Money kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Shadow Deathgrip has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Pot! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloppy strikes from Deathgrip. Those never looked like landing. Pot shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Deathgrip sprawls well. Deathgrip wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pot gets slowly back to his feet. Pot throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Deathgrip shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pot as he jumps to the side. Nice uppercut lands for Deathgrip. That snapped Pot's head back.
Deathgrip clinches. Pot breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Horrible takedown by Deathgrip or perhaps it was just good defense by Pot which made him look bad. Deathgrip really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Pot checks a leg kick. Deathgrip shoots in but Pot avoids the takedown attempt easily. Deathgrip misses with a double jab
and Pot counters with a one-two to the body. Pot closes the distance and clinches. Pot misses with a knee to the head. Deathgrip has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Deathgrip closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Pot is in trouble now - Deathgrip has advanced to mount! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Deathgrip is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Pot has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Pot! Pot throws a big right hand that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pot pushes down on Deathgrip's leg and manages to get into half guard. Pot missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Pot is looking for a kimura but Deathgrip is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pot to get the leverage. Pot is working for a kimura but Deathgrip is defending it quite comfortably.
Pot is controlling the pace.

He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Deathgrip to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Deathgrip manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Deathgrip tries to control but Pot wriggling away. Deathgrip tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Pot wants to get back to his feet.
Deathgrip can't control as he wanted to and Pot manages to get the fight back to his half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Deathgrip is looking to stall here but Pot recovers full guard. Deathgrip slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Deathgrip trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Pot has his foot on Deathgrip's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Deathgrip works his way back into a safe position though.

Pot missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Pot is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Deathgrip defends it well. Pot working Deathgrip over with strikes. Pot controlling the pace. Pot is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Deathgrip sees it coming and defends easily.

Deathgrip blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Deathgrip is trying to break the clinch but Pot has him pressed against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Pot.
Pot wants to stall.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pot breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pot misses the jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Pot dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Pot pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Deathgrip is keeping the position for now. Deathgrip tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pot wants to control from the top but Deathgrip keeps moving. Pot stopping the sweep attempt from Deathgrip. Pot stands and throws Deathgrip's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pot stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Deathgrip swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pot wants to control from the top but Deathgrip keeps moving.
