Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tuomas Keto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Takehiko Takaki!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keto tries to land a front kick but Takaki steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Takaki misses the jab.
Keto takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Takaki scores with a body shot.
Keto shoots in but Takaki avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Takaki, right into the meat.
Takaki stuns Keto with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Keto thows a body shot but no joy.
Keto looks to score with a jab to the body but Takaki is just out of range.

Takaki lands a nice hook to Keto's body. Keto takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Keto shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Takaki pinned against the cage. Takaki gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Keto tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Takaki swivels and escapes.

Takaki throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Takaki is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Keto rather than just go for the knockout.

Takaki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Keto swats him away and circles back towards the center.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Keto throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Keto throws a sloppy head kick and Takaki moves out of range easily.
Keto keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Takaki stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Takaki wants it to stay on the feet.

Takaki misses with a hook. Keto ducked under it nicely.

Keto goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Takaki rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Keto's guard! Nice work there by Takaki!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Takaki displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Keto throws out the jab.

Takaki throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Keto changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Takaki looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Takaki makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Takaki.

Takaki throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Keto escapes and throws Takaki's legs to the side, diving into side control!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

I would just about give that final round to Takehiko Takaki.
