Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karen Awanian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karen Awanian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, William Johnson! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson shoots for a takedown but Awanian saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Johnson shoots in for a double leg but Awanian sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown but Awanian manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Johnson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Karen Awanian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William Johnson. Awanian clobbers Johnson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like William Johnson has been cut. Awanian dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Johnson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Johnson misses with a low kick.
Johnson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Johnson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Awanian jabs at Johnson's body. Johnson looks winded! Awanian scores with a jab. Awanian drops Johnson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Johnson looks back up at him and smiles so Awanian waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Johnson is rocked! Awanian finds Johnson's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Johnson flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Awanian lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Johnson will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Karen Awanian!
