Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sean Sherk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jose Oliveira enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sean Sherk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Oliveira! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oliveira fails in his attempt to clinch. Oliveira swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Oliveira lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Oliveira chopping away at his opponent's legs.
An inside leg kick lands from Oliveira. Sherk sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Oliveira throws a head kick that misses. Oliveira moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Sherk shoots in but Oliveira avoids the takedown attempt easily. Oliveira throws a series of strikes that have Sherk backpedaling.
A solid leg kick lands there for Oliveira.
Oliveira scores with a jab. Sherk acknowledges it with a nod of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sherk on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Oliveira misses with a takedown attempt and Sherk counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Oliveira's guard now. Sherk is breathing heavily. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Oliveira is trying to hold Sherk in close to prevent damage but Sherk has managed to pass into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Oliveira really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Sherk controlling his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Oliveira tries to hold on but Sherk postures up. Oliveira is in all sorts of trouble here.
Oliveira is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Sherk takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oliveira is trying to stand back up. Sherk struggling to keep hold of the position.

Oliveira trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Oliveira is covering up but some of the strikes from Sherk are getting through and doing damage.
Sherk is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Oliveira rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Oliveira has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sherk is working away from the top position though. Oliveira looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oliveira works his way to full guard. Good work. Oliveira had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sherk defends it easily. Sherk slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Oliveira has his foot on Sherk's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sherk works his way back into a safe position though. Oliveira throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Sherk is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oliveira looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sherk is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Oliveira throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Sherk forces his way into half guard. Oliveira trying to control from the bottom.
Sherk is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Oliveira doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sherk. This has been an exciting period of action! Sherk is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jose Oliveira will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Sherk clinches up against the cage. Sherk looking for a takedown. Sherk has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Oliveira clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Oliveira tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Sherk has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Oliveira is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sean Sherk! Sean Sherk took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
