Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Tarasov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yuri Tarasov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Taylor ! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tarasov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Tarasov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Taylor has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A right-left combo lands from Tarasov. Both fighters circling a little - Tarasov finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Tarasov throws a head kick that half lands.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tarasov throws a half hearted mid kick. Taylor gets in close and instigates a clinch. Tarasov lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Tarasov lands a shoulder strike. Tarasov breaks the clinch.
Tarasov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Taylor .
Nice body kick there by Tarasov. Taylor fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tarasov, pushing him back against the cage. Taylor letting Tarasov take a breather here. Tarasov trying to stall but Taylor improves his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tarasov is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Tarasov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Taylor takes a kick to the side of the head. Taylor on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Tarasov. Tarasov obviously looking to wear him down.

Taylor gets in close and instigates a clinch. Taylor has clasped his hands together around Tarasov's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Tarasov is looking for a sweep. Taylor trying to control the position but Tarasov is working away. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The strikes coming from Taylor are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Taylor with the ground and pound but Tarasov regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Taylor seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Tarasov pushes Taylor off looking to stand but Taylor dives back in and keeps control.
Taylor is figuring out what he wants to do next. It looks like Taylor might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor winds up and cracks Tarasov with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Taylor not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tarasov is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Taylor scores with a couple of nice shots. Taylor is controlling the pace.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Taylor lands a heavy elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tarasov throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Yuri Tarasov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Taylor throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Tarasov fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Tarasov rushes Taylor and presses him up against the cage. Tarasov stalling the fight.
Taylor 's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! A head punch on the inside from Tarasov fails to land. Tarasov stalling in the clinch but Taylor improves position. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Taylor is looking for a takedown. Taylor has Tarasov pushed against the cage. Tarasov tries to break free but Taylor pushes him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tarasov is trying to maintain a safe position but Taylor gets an underhook and turns Tarasov into the cage. Taylor has hold of one of Tarasov's legs. Tarasov is fighting the takedown attempt but Taylor gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Taylor working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Taylor sitting in guard, not really doing much. Taylor postures up and lands a big shot to Tarasov's brow. Taylor won't allow Tarasov to get back to his feet. Taylor trying to control the position from guard on top but Tarasov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Taylor looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Tarasov was covering up waiting for the punch and Taylor finishes the takedown easily into guard. Taylor sitting in guard here, content to control. Taylor stands up over Tarasov, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Taylor postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Taylor throwing strikes from guard but Tarasov blocks nicely.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tarasov keeping full guard, as Taylor tries to pass. Taylor throws a big right hand that misses. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Taylor missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Taylor slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tarasov scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Taylor throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Taylor crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Tarasov - the referee stops the clock and Taylor gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Tarasov. Taylor manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Taylor sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Tarasov scores with a crisp jab that stopped Taylor in his tracks. Tarasov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The crowd cheers as Tarasov lands an impressive looking overhand right. Taylor doesn't seem phased though. Tarasov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Taylor circles away quickly and effectively. A head kick misses from Tarasov. Tarasov throws a front kick aimed at Taylor 's knee but Taylor avoids it well. Tarasov throws a body kick that misses. Tarasov lands with a good body shot. Tarasov throws a nice inside leg kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Taylor looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor throwing shots but Tarasov is blocking nicely. Taylor throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Taylor working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Taylor thows a huge punch but Tarasov dodges it nicely.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Taylor postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Taylor wants to pass the guard but Tarasov is keeping the position.
