Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Moans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sebastian Norling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Moans has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, John Moans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sebastian Norling!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Norling shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Moans manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Norling won't allow Moans to sweep him here.
Norling tries to free his leg and advance position but Moans is retaining full guard.

Norling got a little sloppy there for a moment and Moans has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Norling has managed to get both his arms back between Moans's legs - danger averted.

Moans throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Norling escapes and throws Moans's legs to the side, diving into side control!
A lull in the action here as Norling stalls from top position.

Norling is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Moans knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moans tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Norling wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Moans throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.

Norling is looking to take a break and control but Moans is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Moans sneaks back into half guard.
Moans is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Norling seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Moans manages to get to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Norling is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Moans wants to sweep but no luck.

Moans looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Norling controls from within his opponent's guard.
Moans looking to hit a scissor sweep but Norling is one step ahead there.

Norling closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Moans's guard.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Sebastian Norling wasn't active enough on the ground.
Moans tries to close the distance and clinch but Norling swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Moans drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Norling wants to get back to his feet but Moans drags him back down.

Norling sneaks out the side door and pushes Moans away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Norling manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Moans on his heels. He'll look to pass Moans's guard now, I'm sure.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Norling seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Moans working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Norling doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Norling manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Moans is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Moans is on top in guard.

Norling is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Moans can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Norling thows a body shot but no joy.

Moans jumps guard but Norling turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Moans tries to score a body lock takedown but Norling shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Norling gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Norling remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
