Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker has chosen Darude - Sandstorm as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, James Walker!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Walker is fending him off so far but King persists. Nope, Walker circles away and we're back to standing.

and Walker counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Walker has King pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Walker pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending King tumbling to the mat - Walker dives into King's guard.

King moves to clinch but Walker breaks away

and Walker counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Walker closes the distance and clinches.
King tries to pull guard but Walker holds him up against the cage and eventually King drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve King. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
King tries for a takedown but Walker manages to get underhooks.

Walker has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed King clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Walker should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

King tries to escape but Walker has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Walker is trying to trip King. He has hold of a leg but King is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Walker persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Walker wants to stand but King has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
King is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

King seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Walker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

King is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Walker doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time King.

James Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Walker instigates a clinch.
King is trying to break the clinch but Walker is controlling him.

Walker has hold of one of King's legs. King is fighting the takedown attempt but Walker gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Walker gets to his feet. King looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

King is fighting off a takedown attempt but Walker is just too persistent for him and manages to trip King to the mat. King regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Walker stands and steps away. King gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

King moves to clinch but Walker breaks away

and Walker counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for King!

Walker avoids the attempt from King to control.
King is trying desperately to improve position.
King is working hard here to advance position.
King wants to hold on but Walker pushes him away.
King is wriggling around trying to escape.

Let's hope that Walker has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Walker decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on King, up you get!

Walker shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches King napping and manages to drive through into side control!

No luck for Walker with that takedown attempt.

Walker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with King. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

King gets caught napping as Walker dives in and scores a takedown. King manages to retain guard.

James Walker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Walker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

James Walker decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
