The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roastbeef waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Holmbom.
Roastbeef is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Holmbom's half guard.
Roastbeef throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Roastbeef seems to be working for a kimura but Holmbom defends the submission attempt.

Holmbom throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Roastbeef connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Roastbeef fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Holmbom manages to avoid it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Holmbom tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Roastbeef is able to avoid easily.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Both fighters circling a little - Holmbom finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Holmbom.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Roastbeef checks a leg kick.
Holmbom tries to land a front kick but Roastbeef steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Holmbom leaves Roastbeef with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Holmbom uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Roastbeef.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Roastbeef.
Holmbom does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Holmbom throws a low kick but Roastbeef moves out of range easily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Holmbom.

Holmbom throws a solid leg kick but Roastbeef takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Holmbom.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Holmbom, right into the meat.
Roastbeef feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Roastbeef, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
