The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanford throws a good cross that connects.
Fred Sanford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanford pivots, looking for a leg kick but Bot is out of range and Sanford settles back down.
No luck for Bot with that takedown attempt.
Sanford ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sanford keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sanford, as that shot connected.
Bot shoots in looking for a takedown but Sanford manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bot's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sanford pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bot moves away from the strike by Sanford.
Bot swings for the body but Sanford moves out of range.
Sanford uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bot.
Sanford throws a head kick that misses.
Bot lands a jab to Sanford's midsection.
Bot moves away from the strike by Sanford.
Sanford closes the distance and clinches.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sanford using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bot has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Bot jumps guard and drags Sanford to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sanford won't allow Bot to sweep him here.
Sanford working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Sanford trying to control the position from guard on top but Bot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bot manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sanford manages to get himself to full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bot stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanford swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sanford looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bot is one step ahead there.
Bot postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bot throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sanford works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Sanford has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Bot has passed into side control.
Sanford wants to control but Bot postures up.
Bot cracks Sanford with a big elbow.
It looks like Fred Sanford has been cut.
Bot working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The ground and pound from Bot seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

That has opened up Fred Sanford's cut even more.
