The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Broyles throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bastos stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Bastos rushes Broyles and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Bastos jumps guard but Broyles stands there with Bastos around his waist. Bastos gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Broyles manages to break the clinch.
Broyles rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bastos moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Broyles looks to throw the jab but Bastos is out of range.
Broyles avoids the body shot from Bastos.
Bastos avoids the head kick by Broyles.
Broyles throws a series of punches but Bastos moves out of range.

Bastos closes the distance and clinches.

Broyles breaks the clinch.
Bastos loads up on a big right hand but Broyles slips the punch.
Broyles uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bastos.
Bastos uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Broyles.

Bastos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Broyles paws at him with a jab and circles away.

No joy there for Broyles, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Broyles swats away the attempt to clinch by Bastos.
Scott Broyles is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bastos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Broyles swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Broyles throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bastos's head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bastos looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bastos scores with a crisp jab that stopped Broyles in his tracks.
Broyles's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Broyles duly obliges.

Broyles drops Bastos with a beautiful combination! Bastos stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Broyles is looking for the KO!

Broyles catches Bastos with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Bastos forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!

Scott Broyles spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
