The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy throws a front kick aimed at Cunnings's knee but Cunnings avoids it well.
Cunnings misses with a wild combination.
McCarthy goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
McCarthy fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Cunnings checks it well.
Cunnings scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Cunnings throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McCarthy on the side of the head.
McCarthy takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Cunnings connects with a looping right hand.

McCarthy shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Cunnings will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cunnings rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McCarthy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Cunnings lunges in with a left hook that violently twists McCarthy head around and knocks him out cold! Cunnings hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
