Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tombstone Terry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anthony Wright! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 31 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tombstone Terry! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Terry gets in close and instigates a clinch. Terry has had enough of the clinch but Wright keeps him there for the moment. Terry decides to pull guard. Wright trying to control but Terry is working from the bottom. Wright is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Terry is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Terry is trying to keep Wright in close.
Wright content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Terry keeping moving, preventing Wright from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wright is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wright postures up in Terry's guard and throws a big left but Terry blocks it. Wright trying to control the position from guard on top but Terry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Terry working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Wright. Wright slips nicely into half guard. Wright is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Terry has managed to free his arm - good work. Wright thows a huge punch but Terry dodges it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Terry wants to control but Wright is keeping busy.
Wright is looking for submissions but instead, Terry has regained full guard.
Terry preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Wright's corner is telling him to maintain position. Wright is looking to work some ground and pound but Terry has wrist control. Wright tries to free his leg and advance position but Terry is retaining full guard. Wright works over Terry with some ground and pound from guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wright passes Terry's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Wright looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Terry with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Wright is stalling here. Terry is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Wright seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Terry has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Wright might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Terry tries to stand but Wright is controlling his head. Wright parries the strikes from Terry easily there. Terry is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Wright to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wright gets back to half guard. Wright manages to get to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wright's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Wright had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Terry defends it easily. Terry is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Terry wants to stand and escape but instead Wright has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Wright slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Terry wants to get back to his feet but Wright drags him back down. Terry parries the strikes from Wright easily there. Wright is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Terry to escape.
Terry takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Wright has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Wright just misses with a punch to the body.
Terry blocks a leg kick. Wright misses with a wild body shot.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Wright fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Wright digs a good body shot into Terry's ribs. Terry shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wright counters with a right hand to the body. Terry looks winded! Wright stuffs the takedown attempt from Terry. Terry gets slowly back to his feet. Wright digs a good hook to Terry's body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wright stuns Terry with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Wright scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Wright moves into range and clinches up with Terry. Wright prevents a takedown attempt there.
Anthony Wright has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tombstone Terry.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Wright has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Terry is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Terry looking to stall.

Wright gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wright lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Wright has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Wright has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Wright with the ground and pound from mount. Wright trying to control but he's not successful this time. Terry defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Wright. Wright tries to control but Terry wriggling away. This has been an exciting period of action! Wright looking to secure an arm triangle but Terry defends it well.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Terry has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Wright lands an elbow to the side of the head. Wright scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Terry is trying to remain composed but Wright is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
Terry is rocked! Wright has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Terry! Can he survive? No! He's out! Wright gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 9:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Anthony Wright! Anthony Wright retains his bantamweight title! A relieved looking Anthony Wright thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
