Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jari Mountain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Blachovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mountain comes to the cage accompanied by kuningas. Blachovich is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Metallica - Enter Sandman. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mountain throws a one two combo.
It looks like John Blachovich has been cut.
A low kick from Mountain misses
so Blachovich counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Blachovich working some strikes from top position.
Blachovich passes Mountain's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Blachovich is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mountain is just riding it out for now. Blachovich eventually gives up the hold.

Mountain wants to improve his position but Blachovich is controlling well.

Blachovich is working for an americana but Mountain has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Blachovich was thinking about the submission.

Blachovich throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mountain works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Mountain knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Blachovich on the ground.
Mountain is looking to stand up but Blachovich isn't so interested in that idea.
Mountain preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Blachovich drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mountain dives on top into guard.
Blachovich has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mountain can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Blachovich looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mountain stands and steps away. Blachovich gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Mountain, right into the meat.
Blachovich has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Mountain connects with an inside leg kick.
Mountain misses with a hook to the body
and Blachovich counters with a good low kick that Mountain was not able to check.
Mountain lands with an uppercut that bounces Blachovich off the cage and back into range.
Blachovich clinches with his opponent.
Mountain throws a head punch that misses.
Blachovich managing to block the knees to the body from Mountain.
Blachovich tries to pull guard but Mountain forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Mountain fails to land.
Mountain gets through Blachovich's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Mountain is pressed up against the cage. Blachovich has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mountain down to the mat. Mountain avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Blachovich takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Blachovich slips a jab and a cross from Mountain.
Mountain throws a looping overhand right but Blachovich ducks down to avoid it.
Blachovich shoots and misses
and Mountain counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jari Mountain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Blachovich.
Mountain lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Mountain misses with a body shot
and Blachovich counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Mountain scores with a jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mountain lands with a thumping leg kick.
Jari Mountain is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jab, jab by Mountain - just one landing.
Jari Mountain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That kick from Mountain tenderised Blachovich's leg. Blachovich is trying to keep his angry face on.

Mountain fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Blachovich has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Blachovich is breathing heavily.
Mountain misses with a shot to the body
and Blachovich counters by clinching up.
Mountain tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Mountain with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Blachovich is looking to take this one to the mat.
Mountain tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Blachovich's elbow.
Mountain has a couple of punches blocked by Blachovich.
Mountain lands with a light punch inside.
Mountain gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Blachovich regains guard.
Blachovich has his foot on Mountain's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mountain works his way back into a safe position though.

Blachovich wants to sweep but no luck.
Blachovich keeping moving, preventing Mountain from controlling successfully.

Mountain stands up and beckons Blachovich to join him on the feet.
Mountain stalks Blachovich and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Blachovich's face. Blachovich staggers backwards, shaken.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mountain tests Blachovich's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Mountain works over Blachovich's head and body with a nice combination.
Mountain drops Blachovich with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Blachovich! Mountain dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
