Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Kendrick Stagliano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Joesph Ely!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ely throws a head kick but Stagliano moves out of range.
Stagliano has taken the fight to the clinch.
Stagliano tries to land knees in the clinch but Ely avoids the damage to the body.
Ely can't get the takedown.
Ely pulls Stagliano into guard.
Ely is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stagliano in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Ely tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ely trying to strike off his back.
Ely not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ely has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Joesph Ely hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Stagliano is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ely tries to clinch up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ely rushes Stagliano and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ely prevents a body shot from Stagliano.
Ely has picked Stagliano up - he's going for a ride! Ely dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Ely is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Ely works his way into side control.
Ely is trying to get an arm triangle but Stagliano is defending well.
Ely is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stagliano has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ely has hold of Stagliano's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Stagliano tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Ely cranks the arm and Stagliano screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Stagliano, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
