Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hans Lankari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skyler Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lankari might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to AC/DC - Thunderstruck. Nelson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by One. Skyler Nelson acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Skyler Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lankari bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Lankari tries for a kimura but Nelson is defending well.
Nelson is looking to regain half guard here but Lankari keeps moving and retains side control.
Nelson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nelson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lankari's best efforts.
Nelson is refusing to be controlled, as Lankari sits in half guard.
Nelson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Nelson looking for a kimura from the bottom but Lankari passes into side control!

Lankari is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nelson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Lankari decides to stand back up. Lankari steps back and let's Nelson get back to his feet.

Nelson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lankari's guard.

Lankari has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Nelson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lankari manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Lankari can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nelson is looking to escape.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lankari fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Nelson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Lankari connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Lankari is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Nelson defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
I really don't envy Nelson right now.
Lankari lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Lankari lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Lankari.
Lankari lands with a hammerfist to the side of Nelson's head.
Nelson tries to break free.
Nelson rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Nelson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lankari pulls his head out easily.

Lankari has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
