Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Condit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cain has chosen A Warrior's Call as his entrance music. Mike Cain has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlos Condit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Cain! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cain clinches with his opponent.
Cain has Condit pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Cain pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Condit tumbling to the mat - Cain dives into Condit's guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Cain slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Cain pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Condit is keeping the position for now. Condit working a defensive guard but Cain passes into half guard.
Cain not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Condit is looking for a sweep. Cain is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Cain is looking for a kimura but Condit is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cain to get the leverage. Cain performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Cain tries to pass the half guard into mount. Condit knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cain is trying to work for a kimura but Condit is defending well.

Cain is pressing down on Condit's thigh, looking to free his foot. Condit is holding on for now. Condit is looking to control Cain's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Condit avoid being mounted?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cain looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Let's hope that Cain has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Cain trying to control the action but Condit is working from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Cain works Condit's body with a nice hook. Cain tries to clinch but Condit is having none of it. Cain rushes Condit and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Come on Cain - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A short left from Cain. Cain drops down looking for an ankle pick but Condit pulls his leg out and moves away.
Condit moves into the clinch. Cain wants a takedown but no success here.
Condit is trying to pull guard but Cain has him pressed against the cage. Condit tries to circle away but Cain has him pinned against the cage. Cain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cain lands with a nice body punch. Cain scores with a decent looking hook. Cain shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Carlos Condit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Cain. Cain closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Condit's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cain is pushing down on Condit's leg trying to pass to half guard. Condit is fighting to maintain full guard but Cain has managed to sneak the leg through. Condit is trying to maintain the position but Cain is very close to passing his half guard. Condit is breathing heavily. Cain is keen to just control but Condit is a slippery customer. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cain passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Condit! Cain controlling from mount. Cain trying to control but Condit is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cain looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Cain dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Condit swinging wildly here.
Condit avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Carlos Condit is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cain clinches with his opponent.
Cain lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Condit. Cain displaying some good clinch control by pressing Condit up against the cage. Condit is looking to take this one to the mat. Cain has Condit pressed against the cage, preventing Condit from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Cain lands a body shot. Cain gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Condit regains guard.
Cain controls from within his opponent's guard. Condit knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cain on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cain stands up over Condit, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Cain postures up in Condit's guard and throws a big left but Condit blocks it. Cain slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Cain tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Cain throws a strike aimed at the side of Condit's head but Condit avoids it well. A lull in the action here as Cain stalls from top position. Cain lands a few punches from side control. Cain has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cain works to advance to full mount. Condit defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Condit is squirming around, avoiding Cain's attempts to control the action. Condit blocking the ground and pound. Cain lands a big shot there that rocks Condit but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cain fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Condit squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cain can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Condit is looking to escape. Condit stops Cain from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. A nice elbow there by Cain.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Condit defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Cain. Cain goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Condit turns into him and now he's in Cain's guard.
Cain has Condit pulled in close to control his posture. Condit won't allow Cain to sweep him here. Condit pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cain is keeping the position for now. Cain wants to sweep here but Condit controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cain working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Condit doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Condit manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Condit looking to sit in guard and control but Cain gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Cain slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cain content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Cain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Horrible takedown by Condit or perhaps it was just good defense by Cain which made him look bad. Cain shoots in but Condit avoids the takedown attempt easily. Cain shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Condit sprawls well. Condit wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cain gets slowly back to his feet. Condit shoots in for a double leg but Cain sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Cain drives through with a takedown into Condit's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Condit wants to control but Cain passes easily into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cain wants to work for an arm triangle but Condit is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Cain throws a strike aimed at the side of Condit's head but Condit avoids it well. Mike Cain has got the better of the ground game so far. Cain is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Condit has escaped the position, nice work there. Cain trying to control the position but Condit is working away. Cain is trying to get an arm triangle but Condit is defending well. Condit tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cain wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cain tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Condit is working to avoid the ground and pound but Cain connects with a decent elbow. Cain working away. Mike Cain is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Cain thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Cain is looking to take a break and control but Condit is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Condit prevents Cain from moving into mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cain working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Cain is chipping away with strikes.
Cain has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Condit! Cain has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Cain controlling his opponent. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cain looking for a guillotine from mount but Condit is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Cain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Cain has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
