The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bennett gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Oswalt to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Oswalt wants to control from the top but Bennett keeps moving.

Oswalt shoots in looking for a takedown but Bennett manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Oswalt's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Oswalt avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bennett throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Oswalt is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bennett is just riding it out for now. Oswalt eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Oswalt is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bennett doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Oswalt.
